The PA has produced a new online toolkit to help you prepare for the upcoming General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR), which will introduce widespread changes to data protection laws in Europe.
The toolkit, which has been developed for the PA by law firm Harbottle & Lewis together with technology consultancy Stigmergist, offers a full practical guide for publishers, outlining what they need to do to comply with the new regulations before they apply from 25 May 2018.
The resources include a questionnaire to help the publishers conduct their own data review template policies, and guidance on data processing contracts and transferring data outside the European Economic Area. There are also a series of useful webinars on topics including an introduction to data protection and the GDPR, handling children’s data, data subject rights and data breaches.
To start your GDPR journey, log in with your PA member details. The link to the Toolkit is hidden below. If you don’t know your password, use the “Forgotten Password” link. If you don't know your username, contact us.
