The Government’s Department for International Trade’s new Trade Policy unit is in the process of preparing to enter into formal negotiations from April 2019 onwards. As part of that process, it is reaching out to business stakeholders across the country to gather information that will shape the UK’s priorities.
Join us on Tuesday 25th September to hear from Patrick Whitehead (Publishing lead for DCMS) and Mark Prince (Head of IP at DIT) explain the international trade negotiations and they mean for publishing. The PA's own William Bowes will feed in insights from members and suggest what this means for our priority issues. Finally, there will be an opportunity for attendees to ask Patrick and Mark questions and to raise areas of concern.
The deadline for DIT's trade consultations on FTAs with the US, Australia and New Zealand is 26th October so there will be time after the event for us to reflect what is discussed in our final submissions.
We are grateful to our member HarperCollins for providing the venue for this event and would like to remind attendees to please arrive early in order to pass through security.
This event is free of charge for PA Members only.
