Copyright Infringement Portal

Protect your digital intellectual property

The Copyright Infringement Portal was created as an online system to enable publishers to easily identify online infringements, quickly send Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) compliant takedown notices to infringing sites and to reliably collate takedown data.

The portal is designed and run by the Publishers Association, the leading membership organisation for UK publishing.

Rights owners of all sizes and nationalities use the portal to help manage their anti-piracy workload.

The flexible and user-friendly system allows creators to actively monitor the major infringing sites without requiring a sophisticated knowledge of current popular sites or access methods.

Search across hundreds of known pirate sites, including torrents, referrer sites and cyberlockers, direct download sites, and read online sites.

The Copyright Infringement Portal will find and display matches from these infringing sites, all that needs to be done is check and report.

Report

Once an infringement is identified the portal does all the hard work for you and matches the necessary takedown information to an appropriate DMCA compliant template, which has already been legally approved for use. The DMCA takedown notice is then sent out to the relevant contact at the infringing website.

Monitor

Wherever possible once a takedown notice has been sent the portal will check to see if the link has been removed and logs this compliancy data. The system will also automatically check to see if a reported link has a matching search engine link and will report these too.

The fight against digital piracy

Since 2009 the copyright infringement portal has had…

4 million infringing links reported

1.5 million google search links removed

Pricing

The portal offers two levels of service. A manual account – where you are responsible for checking links and sending notices or a managed service – where we report infringing links on your behalf.

Prices for these services are dependent on the number of titles being searched for, whether they are books (including ebooks and audiobooks) or magazines.

Members of the Publishers Association can access the manual service tier (*1,000 titles) for free as a member benefit. Companies that do not qualify for membership can subscribe to the Portal for a fee, as outlined below:
